IEEE is hosting its seventh-annual IEEE Tech for Humanity Series at the annual SXSW® Conference in Austin, Texas March 9-18, 2018! Curated in partnership with SXSW, the series convenes some of the world’s leading innovators and technologists to discuss the impacts of technology on the future of humanity.
IEEE’s 18-event series includes a SXSW Keynote with William Hurley (aka “whurley”), a SXSW Featured Session with world renown inventor and philanthropist, Dean Kamen, and a SXSW Featured Panel on Extreme Bionics, which includes Hugh Herr, Co-Director of MIT’s Center for Extreme Bionics, Aimee Mullins, actress, model and world-record setting NCAA athlete and Hans Georg Naeder, third-generation CEO of Ottobock, the world’s largest prosthetics and orthotics manufacturer.
